Again a nasty bug – v1.0.6

As you might know, even from the news, there was a long weekend in Hungary because of our National Memorial Holiday for the Revolution in 1956. So for these days I was not haunting bugs, just resting and stuff.

But today I’ll came back to work, and also I’ve picked up the plugin developement as well.
For the last hour I was debuging together with Joakim, who I also send a big thank you. Not just for reporting a bug, but creating a test environment, that I can reproduce the bug.

So, another bugfix release is out.
Eat it, until it’s hot 😉

I thought before releasing v1.1 I want another let’s say “final” (bugfix) version.
What was changed since 1.0.4

  • Support for the old MySQL 4.0 database engine family
  • Bugfix for custom named posts database table (reported by Tiago)
  • Dashboard design fix

Design bug on ACE Dashboard in IE

Today I’ve got an error report from sweden (, saying that ACE Dashboard displays weird in the IE browser family.
So I’ve patched the current versions (v1.0.4 and v1.0.5) and the developement version (that will be released as v1.1 in the following week)  as well.

What’s going on?

Yesterday I’ve released Advanced Category Excluder v1.0.4, but during the afternoon I had some error reports, that it does not work with MySQL 4.0 database server family.
So I’ve created a version called v1.0.5 and available from here.
Remember this is not, the default version, it’s just a patched version for MySQL 4.0.

I had a phone at 4:00 am this morning, and I can’t went back to sleep, so I sat down, to code.
Thanks to this phone call, version 1.1 is on the way. With more options, nicer dashboard, and include the patch for MySQL 4.0…

So stay tuned! 😉

1.0.4 is out!

The last 3 releases has just small bugfix changes (and support for wordpress 2.3), but they won’t worth to post about it.

But in this release I’m using two patches, that has been given to me.

  • The first patch arrived from Jim Hinds. It was fixing a bug according to the tag system. I’m thankful for his work, because I cannot reproduce that kind of bug he had.
  • The second one came by email from Paul Sweeney. His patch disables the filter options, when we are using the admin for category listing.

So, now we are really ready for you WordPress 2.3 🙂

Thank you guys!
